How to Stay Strong.

First thing in the morning... last thing at night.

I have been at this Christian walk a long time.... over 30 years and people used to tell me to slow down or I was going to burn out.  I am here to tell you that you don't have to.

Some things I have learned along the way are to keep going to my daily devotionals.  I have two from KCM, Faith to Faith and Pursuit of his Presence.  There have been others along the way but those two have gone the distance.

I also have had books along the way to help me speak the right things over my life and to help me turn my belief system around.  My book shelf is full of encouraging,  faith-filled books.

I keep a daily journal where I write down the things God tells me during the day and the songs I have been singing.  At the back I write down all the scripture decrees he has showed me for quick reference so I can go over them every day and make them part of my life.  Many of the 'confessions' in this blog are from the back of my journals!

I talk to the Lord like he's right beside me and I listen for his answers.  I try to make time to check in with him many times a day.  He doesn't mind me being a question box as long as I listen for his response. The Psalmist sang, "Evening and morning and at noon will I utter my complaint and moan and sigh, and He will hear my voice." (Ps. 55:17) I am not saying you always have to complain but it shows how interested God is in hearing us!

I try to live by the verse which says, "Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts." (Col. 3:16 NLT)  I try to sing in tongues or English most of the day.

Daily bible reading is a big help.  If the Bible is 'dry' I will look up the reference scriptures that the daily devotionals suggest, or look up the scriptures that I heard from the last meeting.  Sometimes I ask Holy Spirit if there's somewhere he wants me to go to answer a question I have had.  Many times I just ask Holy Spirit to give me a greater love for his word.  He's faithful to answer if we ask.

I keep a very short account with God.  I literally will not go to bed if I know that I have offended or hurt someone. I go humble myself and ask forgiveness.... especially to my children and husband.  There have been times when they were in the wrong and still Holy Spirit would ask me to go humble myself and just offer forgiveness.  Blessed are the peacemakers!


These are just a few of the ways that I have kept the fire burning hot over the last thirty years.  If I can do it, you can do it because God is no respecter of persons! (ref. Acts. 10:34)

Have a great day with him! I bless you with the courage to do what Holy Spirit is asking you to do.  The joy he gives makes any sacrifice worth while. There is nothing like it this side of Heaven!

Like Calves???

I remember once years ago when my husband and I got a word from a Leader about us coming out of stalls like calves.  We didn't understand it and wondered why the Leader was associating us with calves.  Were we immature? Was he saying we were inexperienced?  It didn't make sense.  He wasn't an approachable fellow so we just had to leave it behind.

Of course.... now I know that he was quoting part of a Bible verse.  Really!  I was so surprised when I came across this verse years later.  "But unto you who revere and worshipfully fear My name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings and His beams, and you shall go forth and gambol like calves [released] from the stall and leap for joy." (Mal. 4:2 Amp.)

I now know so much more about this verse.  That leader was giving me a key to my future ministry and I didn't know it!

I can't think of a single ministry experience in the last two years where I have not lead people in prayers of forgiveness and prayed for God to heal the wounds in their souls that caused their walls and unforgiveness.

So much of the healing we want is blocked up because of unforgiveness.  So many prophesies are on the shelf because of the wounds in our souls.  Yes our spirits are born again but our souls need healing.

Only in God's love through Jesus and Holy Spirit do our souls find healing and the strength to live without walls and protection mechanisms.  His love heals us and frees us to the point where we don't need to live behind walls of protection anymore.

Many prophesies that are over us will not come to pass because of the wounds in our souls.  With testimonies comes persecution and stress and we need to be prepared to handle it with the fruit of the spirit.

I know I am working on healing some wounds in my soul.  I just had one show up the other day in something my husband did innocently that triggered a reaction in me I wasn't expecting.   Later in my quiet time I asked the Lord why I had reacted that way and he showed my something from my teenage years that I had lived through with great stress and fear that caused me to put up a wall. 

I then asked the Lord to heal me so that I wouldn't hurt anyone again.  As we behold him we are changed from glory to glory.  So we focus on Jesus, call on his name and decree the promises that will renew our minds and set us free.   I was singing, "There is healing in the blood of Jesus, there is healing in the blood of Jesus. There is healing in the blood of Jesus.  It washes (me) white as snow."

God's so good!  He's been helping me at home and the victories I've been getting at home I have been able to transfer to other people during ministry times.  They are getting free from stuff that has taken me weeks to work through in a few minutes.  Hallelujah!


In conclusion I want to bless you with a Happy Easter.  May the son of righteousness arise with healing in his wings and his beams and heal the wounds in your soul.  May you then be able to frolic around like calves let out from the stall, without a care in the world! Amen!  (ref. Mal.4:2)

Who's Your Source?

Peace Lilies I was given this week.

I got asked for money by a man and I don't even know them, some fellow in a far off land. I responded honestly, "Do you realize how many requests we receive every week from people like you? We can't possibly give to everyone who asks.  I am looking to God to supply my needs too!"

He thanked me for responding and said that the Bible says to ask.  He's right, the Bible does say to ask-- to ask God.  He is our source... no one else.  It's right in the Lord's prayer of Matt. 6:11, "Give us this day our daily bread."

I think he was referring to the text, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you..."(Matt. 7:7) If you take this verse by itself then it implies you can ask anyone for help.  If you take it in context of the paragraph, Jesus says in a later verse, " If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" (Matt. 7:11 Italics mine)

So is it wrong to ask people for help? I would say no, but, you are limiting yourself to the natural realm when you do this.  It is very easy for people to limit themselves by focusing on people to get our needs and wants met.   We limit God when we do this and miss out on his supernatural provision.  He has so many more ways to meet our needs than we have ever dreamed.

We can turn people into idols when we look to them for our supply instead of God and we don't want to do that.  Even us wives have to be careful to go to God with our needs and not our husbands all the time.  God can use our husbands to meet our need but he also has many other ways to supply our need.

It's the same for employees looking to their paycheck to meet their needs or a pastor his congregation,  we can all fall into this trap rather easily.

The world will never take care of you as good as God will.  He has promised to meet all our needs according to his riches in Glory.  So it's our job to praise and worship him and when we feel Holy Spirit around us ask him what we are allowed to speak into His presence and glory. It could be a promise he's given you, divine connections, favor with the right people, provision for the vision, our daily bread plus more so we can give on every occasion.  Holy Spirit will tell you what to speak.

As you speak God's promise to you out loud, thank him for answering.  Then bless the Lord with your thankfulness  and praise during the day and watch what will happen.

-I have seen God look after me so many ways it defies description.
-I've been crows supernaturally appear on my farm when we couldn't rid of pigeons that were wrecking our hay. The pigeons left in a hurry! PTL!
-I've seen bees appear supernaturally from I don't know where to set up a hive on my property after we gave up trying to entice bee keepers onto our farm.
-I've seen lightning and rain on 3 sides of our property and our place stay dry so we could bale hay the next day.
-I've seen a little five year old give me peace lilies when God heard me say I would love some but don't have the money right now (on Thursday).
-I have had a motorcycle given to me and two cars so far and I didn't go ask anyone for them. I just kept praising him.
-I have had 4 new careers when I didn't know what I could do that would be lucrative.  God opened doors supernaturally.
-I watched in awe as my 8 cylinder car ran on empty for 10 days, many hours a day because I was strapped for cash.
-I saw a fellow arrange for us to get 3 winter's worth of wood free after my husband got laid off. We weren't asking anyone for help, but God knew our situation!
-I saw carrots grow to over 16 inches long when I loosed the power of creation into the seed.  What a testimony for my grandmother.  She asked me, "What did you do to that seed?" Ha, ha, it was a good witness to God's  care for her.
- I have seen food multiply so everybody could eat and there was lots left over. Hallelujah!  It took away my fear of having people over unexpectedly.
-Finally, I have had people track me down to give me money and I wasn't asking for it.  God knew my need.

God is no respecter of persons. (ref. Acts. 10:34)  What he has done for me he will do for you.  Let's all practice looking to God to give us our daily bread and not other people. It will help all our relationships to flourish.

I bless you with a hunger for God's word and the ability to take him at his word. May you find new joy today as you trust God more. Amen!
