Some Confessions I Like To Use Before I Go Out

Well Worn Confession Sheets
Here are some of the good confessions I have used to build up myself in my holy faith.  I have found that the areas of my life that I speak over are protected and the areas I don't speak over are open to attack.

Did you know that I fight fear every day that I don't speak God's word over myself?  So take heart,  I have learned to build myself up and so can you.

Thank You Lord that just like the other Apostles I speak the word of God boldly. (Acts 9:28, 13:46, 14:3 18:26, 28:31)
Thank You Lord that because of my boldness and persistence I will get what others have given up on. Hallelujah! (Luke 11:8-9)
Thank You Lord that my mouth shall deliver myself and a multitude of people. (Prov. 12:6)
Thank You Lord that my mouth commands healing to come to all people. (Prov. 15:4)
Thank You Lord That because I keep a tight rein on my mouth my religion is of priceless worth. (James 1:26)
Thank You Lord that my lips are not my own. They belong to you! (Ps. 12:4)
Thank You Lord that through Your power I am overcoming all unbelief. (Matt. 9:24)
Thank You Lord that I am bold because I'm righteous. (Prov. 28:1)
Thank You Lord that Your Spirit is mighty in prophesy and Your Spirit moves mightily through me!
THank You Lord that I am Bold and Stouthearted (Ps. 138:3)
Thank You Lord that I can't fail for winning and I can't lose for succeeding.  I am more than a conqueror in all things through You. (Rom. 8:37)
Thank You Lord that whatever I put my hand to do prospers.
Thank You Lord that Your revelation light dawns for me in every situation I face. (Ps. 112:4)
THank you Lord that Your love is shed abroad in my heart right now. (Rom. 5:5)
Thank You Lord that as I practice loving people with Your love, all fear is cast out. (1John. 4:18)
Thank You Lord that I feed my faith and starve my doubts, every day.
Thank You Lord that my mouth speaks truth every day.  Your word is truth.
Thank You Lord that I resist the devil (fear) and he flees!

Did you know that the more times you do what you know to do, even if you are afraid, the easier it will get?  It's true.  It's like you walk through a curtain of fear and then it's behind you and all you can see is God speaking and loving through you.

It's the most amazing thing.  I have trained myself to be sensitive to Holy Spirit's nudges and now it's like I feel a tug at my heart when He wants me to go talk to someone.  His love is nudging me, compelling me to make a difference. (2Cor. 5:14) The more you listen to His voice, the easier it gets to reach out past your comfort zone.

Don't be surprised if one of the first things Holy Spirit tells you to do is cut out some shows on tv.  Your spirit man doesn't know the difference between make believe and reality and will react to the situations you see on tv.  Remember, your eyes are a gate.  You need to be careful what you let in so that your conscience does not get seared, tough or thick-skinned. (1Tim. 4:2)

Anyhow,   these confessions will get you started renewing your mind.  Have fun and don't be afraid to make up your own thankful confessions that suit your situation.   These confessions have come from Bible verses that Holy Spirit highlighted to me one year.  I write them down in the back of my journals  as thankful confessions so that I have a quick reference to the verses the Lord wants me to renew my mind with.

I declare that you are blessed and highly favored and that your steps are bathed in butter (the anointing).  Thank You Lord for releasing all the Angels assigned to my precious friend and may they (the Angels) get their testimonies today. Amen!

Blessings,
Brenda Gale Thompson

Destiny Words At The Mall This Week

Good Morning Saint!   I have had the best time at the mall this week, giving out Destiny Words and Spiritual Readings.  It was great encouraging and affirming people.

The Mall was very quiet when I first arrived on Thursday night so I walked around the hallway I was claiming for God and declared it was a Heaven invades Earth zone.

I then sat down and prayed in tongues and asked the Lord what was next. I had a pad of paper handy so that I could keep track of all the people I spoke over.

I want to tell you that as I sat there and asked the Lord, "What do you want to tell this person?" He answered me  in many diverse ways.

I got words for the teenagers at the Mustang car in the mall about their future careers.  I gave out Million Dollar Bill's with the gospel message on the back. I even got words for some of the employees at the mall about their family situations.

One young man that was hanging around the car the Lord told me to go tell him not to quit school, even though it might look like an option.

One older gentleman sat down on the bench close to me and I got the word 'regret' so I walked up to him and told him that I could see regret over him and that the Lord said it wasn't too late to change things... especially with his children.

I had some people ask me about how I could do this, so I was able to take them through the bible and talk about hearing God's voice.  A couple of people thanked me for giving of my time and coming to the mall to help people.

It was awesome!  I was all by myself for most of the night then a friend and her mother came by to visit. What  a blessing! I got a word of encouragement for her mom and we encouraged ourselves in the Lord.

Last night I was so busy that I didn't get a chance to write down all the words I gave.
I even found out that a Baptist church is praying for me!  How great is that!  The unity in this town is astounding me.  I really think we are ready for a major revival.

I noticed that a lady that was praying for me last night came under some pretty heavy attack so I was praying for her when I became aware of it.  "Lord bless and help all those that have prayed for me and this table.  Confound every plan of the enemy  in Jesus name!  I speak strength and health to every area of their lives and I declare that though the enemy tries to attack one way, he's got to flee seven ways! (ref. Deut. 28:7)  Amen!

The Lord told me that I wouldn't always be alone at the mall.  How great is that?   I think that once people realize how much fun it is, they will want to come do it too.

I bless you in Jesus' name!  May you discover the treasure that He's placed in side of you and give it away to others. Amen!
Big hugs,

Conquering Fear

I got the same fortune cookie message twice in a row at the restaurant last week.  Do you think God is trying to tell me something? LOL.

It said, "Courage is the mastery of fear, not the absence of fear."

This is so true.  When I started out as a Christian I started sharing with people  what God had done for me and I got ridiculed and scoffed at, by only a few people and it caused me to quit sharing. Fear set in.  I kept thinking, "What will people say?" or "What will people do?"

It took me a while to come to grips with that fear.  The Lord led me to start claiming that His love was shed abroad in my heart every day and that His love was perfecting me and casting out all fear (ref. Rom 5:5, 1John 4: 18)

When the Lord led me into street preaching and prophetic evangelism I really had to start fighting fear.  The Lord gave me 2 Tim. 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of Love, power and a sound mind." and Proverbs 28:1 "The righteous are as bold as a lion."

I found it much easier to start giving out tracts first.  One person at a time.  Living Waters tracts, especially the million dollar bill, were easy to give out.  I would just say something like, "Have you ever seen a million dollar bill? And they would say, "No." Then I would hand it to them with many smiles and tell them it was a novelty gift. If I felt led by God I would tell them about the million dollar message on the back.

Street preaching brought a whole new level of fear.  The first time I did it I got onto my step stool and my mind went blank, so I started singing, "Amazing Grace."  That really helped.  Then everything came back to me.

As I grew in Love it became easier and easier to jump outside my comfort zone.

When people first yelled at me I didn't know what to do. I asked the Lord what to say, and this wisdom dawned on me and I spoke exactly what I heard and they shut up, just like that.

I learned that it's far better to get an angry response than no response at all.  Apathy is horrible.  We want people moved out of complacency.

Fear will stop you if it can.  As soon as I realized that it's better for me to do the right thing, afraid than to stay comfortable and not make an impact, that first step towards a stranger or the step to get onto my preaching stool became an invisible curtain I was stepping through.  I would tell myself,  "Move aside fear, I have work to do for the King."

We have nothing to fear except fear itself.  In this country our rights are protected and free speech is  allowed. Let's make a difference while we can.

I bless you with more courage to step out of your comfort zone. May you know the thrill of making a difference for Holy Spirit and hear His "Well done, daughter/son" every day.

Big hugs,
Brenda Gale Thompson

Free Spiritual Words

You never would have guessed how much trouble this table caused.  Within hours of my setting it up, (without the leaflets & business cards), the psychics went ballistic and complained to mall management. They also threatened to call my friend's Head Office to complain about her.

Seems weird eh?   Not really,  as our actions exposed their motives.  They were not really there to help the people. They were there to make money, lots of money.  Stealing from those who were desperate for answers and don't know that Jesus is the answer they need.

So I got a call on my way to my bus saying that we would have to pay the $200 to rent the table for the week.  I prayed about it and got a yes, so I called my friend back to let her know.

When they tried to pay the mall manager for our table he refused the money saying that it would be better for me to have a free table next week.  We think he was being bullied by the psychics.

My tablecloth and posters got put away for a while and we resorted to plan B.  Since the mall is free, Christians from various churches went to the mall and prayed, sang in tongues and confounded the psychics, so they couldn't hear from their familiar spirits (devils). This happened on Wednesday day, I was there Wednesday night and they were closed. A local church prayer group went and prayed at the mall Thursday morning. Also, another church was praying Thursday night, never mind all the individuals who went and prayed individually. Thursday night when I went to the mall their booth was closed, which I found strange.

The lady that worked at Reitman's told me that the blonde lady was upset and following them around but the brunette seem unperturbed. Thursday night I asked the Lord what was going on with her and immediately I saw a third eye open up in her forehead. I asked the Lord what to do about it and He said to blind it.

I blinded her third eye, broke off any attachments to the land, cut her silver cord so she couldn't astral project and bound, gagged and muzzled the strongmen I sensed operating in her life. The Lord also gave me some decrees to speak over the two of them Friday morning if they were trying to do their psychic stuff.

Friday morning I felt a bit discouraged after my bus run but I shook it off, recognizing that it was an attack from the enemy.  I went to the mall and imagine my surprise.  The psychics were packing up their booth! A local pastor and his wife happened by and we chatted and watched them pack up and move their stuff out of the mall.

HOORAY!  God you win!  After they left we cleansed the area where they were and asked for more visitors to the mall.

Turns out that the psychics complained to the mall manager, saying that all our prayers were interfering with their business.  Ha ha!  Of course, that's the whole point. We serve the greatest King of all, Jesus!

Table At The Mall

Well that's it.  A psychic set up her table at the mall and something has to be done about it.  This is God's town and  I can't stand idly by.

I got permission to set up a table for free once upon a time when I went and gave words of knowledge and prophesies to whoever wanted them. See  www.greatcommissionhow2s.blogspot.com/2010/07/physchic-fair-came-to-town-written-in.html  for a post about that weekend.

This time I am a little more experienced and hopefully a little more organized!  I was able to secure a table for free.  One church was glad to loan me a rectangular table cloth to cover it.  A friend from another church gave me some ideas on how to decorate the table.  A fellow at the mall printed off some high quality 8.5 x 11 posters to place in stands on the table.

I put some big poster sized signs on either end of the table advertising "Free Spiritual Readings, Thursday and Friday evening and Saturday"

My girlfriend who works at the mall will keep an eye on our table since I can't man it full time.

I just want to give people an opportunity to save their money.  I have seen people spend anywhere from $40- $100 plus for a detailed reading.   Most of these people don't realize that you can get a prophetic word from some of the charismatic churches for free.

It's time for the Kingdom of God to advance.  It's time to get the good news out, that we serve a Living God who's available all the time!   It makes me sick thinking that these people are going to hear from the other side when the Living God is all around us and in those that have made Jesus their Savior and Lord.

I have put the word out to all my prophetic friends and those who do prayer ministry to come out and be a part of this.  I am very excited.   The Lord has never disappointed me.

I would love to have our Sunday school class out on one of these days, just to practice.  Wouldn't that turn some heads to see 11 year olds giving words of knowledge and prophesy to strangers.  Lord make a way!

I bless you in Jesus' name.  May you have courage to step out of your comfort zone and make a difference for God's Kingdom today. Amen!

Sunday School Yesterday & How to Start Prophesying

Sunday school went really well yesterday.  We had a fairly short class and since the girls have been going over the basis of prophesy I thought we would focus on how to get ready to give a word.

First we praise and worship and stay thankful because that's how we draw the manifest presence of God around us.  Also, He inhabits or is enthroned in the praises of His people (ref Ps. 100:4, 22:3)

Second,  we pleaded the blood of Jesus over us and asked the Lord to show us if there was any sin that would hinder us from hearing His voice (ref. Is. 59:2).

Third, we checked to make sure our motives were right. We want to bless and encourage people.

Fourth, we asked the Lord to "shed His love abroad in our hearts".  (Rom. 5:5)

Fifth, we asked the Lord to give us a word to encourage someone and asked Holy Spirit to confirm the word to them when we shared it.

Then I went on say that when we are in public places, we can ask the Lord to highlight someone to us. Sometimes, my eyes will be drawn to a person over and over again.  Other times I will see a person and immediately a word pops into my head. Sometimes, I will look at someone and  get a feeling of hurt, anxiety, or pain and I know God wants me to go talk to them.

These are just some of the ways God will highlight a person that He wants you to share with.  So keep asking clarifying questions and don't  let fear grip you.  The Bible says that the righteous are as bold as a lion.  "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind." (ref. Prov. 28:1, 2Tim. 1:7)

When you go up to a person  always ask their permission to share the word you got from the Lord with them.  I have only been refused once in many years and I think that was because they were in a hurry and thought I was going to take too long.

When speaking to the person leave out all the Christian jargon that they might not understand.

If they are broken up because of the word you gave, ask the Lord what to do next.  Sometimes, I have been allowed to pray for people right in the grocery store!  If they do not want prayer that is perfectly all right. You have planted some supernatural seed into their lives. I always carry million dollar bills that I give out before I leave.  They have the gospel message on the back and when they are ready I know Holy Spirit will use the words on the tract.

We then practiced giving words of prophesy.  The Bible says to prophesy in proportion to your faith (Rom 12:6) so  we picked a man we didn't know and asked the Lord for one word each for him.

After praying for a minute each of the girls got a different word for him.  I wrote down what they said in point form and asked the Lord and them if they wanted to elaborate.  It was really good stuff.

I was so blessed to see the willingness of these girls that I asked them if we could do one more person.  There had been a man at the front of the church that I felt to go hug at the beginning of service and I didn't because of protocol.  (See how easily fear can shut you down?)  Anyhow,  I wanted to somehow make it up to him so the girls and I prayed and we got some neat words.

One of the girls got the word 'coffee' and I thought, "Coffee what?"  Immediately I heard that the Lord likes having coffee with him.   So I put that together with the other words and the girls were able to add more thoughts to the words they got.  It was awesome.

We gave the prophesies to the resepective men  and  I found out that the 'coffee' man said that the word was bang on for him.  Isn't God amazing?   You should see how excited these young girls are to teach the Sunday service how to prophesy!  That's going to be an interesting service.

Let me pray for you now:  "Lord I ask that You would help this precious person to share  Your words of encouragement and love with others.  Give them lots of words to share and the boldness and compassion to do it well.  We give you all the glory for what You have already started to do in them. Amen!

P.S.  Make sure you write down all your exploits in your notebook.  Then you can ask the Lord questions about each prophetic encounter later on.  There are always ways we can improve. Also, you will have lots of encouragement to get you excited to go out again.

Teaching Sunday School Class How To Prophesy

I am teaching Sunday school tomorrow morning and we are continuing to learn about prophesy and how to do it.  The kids are a blast because once they realize how easy it is they will want to give words over everybody they meet!

We are going to go over some scripture background (John 4 the woman at the well, Acts 10 about Cornelius and Peter) and then I am going to get a volunteer to stand behind a door and ask the kids to write down the word or impression that they get for that person.  If it goes well, I will coax another person from the service upstairs to come down and help us out.

I am excited.  I long to get these young people empowered so that they can go out and make a difference in their world.

I will write another post tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

"Bless you! I decree that we can all prophesy according to the measure of faith we have. Thank you Lord for giving us boldness to step out of our comfort zones and faith to believe that we do hear Your voice clearly. Amen." (ref: 2Cor. 10:13,  Eph. 4:7, 1Cor. 14:1-25,  2Tim. 1:7, Prov. 28:1,  John 10:27, Mark 16:15-18)

Expect the Unexpected

This is a really interesting year.   The prophets have been saying to expect breakthroughs in our lives and I wasn't sure how that would pan out.

My girlfriend asked for prayer for her book writing assignment so we prayed and I went  on my merry way.  Then a vision the Lord gave me a number of years ago came back to me.  I was on a beach, a huge, white beach and there was a big chest on it, just like a treasure chest from a pirate movie.

Holy Spirit told me to go open the chest.  I went over and opened it with a loud 'creak'.  In the chest were two books and Holy Spirit told me to pick them up.  I picked them up and the top one  said "Deliverance and Revival" by Brenda Gale Thompson.

Imagine my surprise!  I had never, ever entertained the thought of writing a book and here in my treasure chest was a book I had written.

So I received this blessing from the Lord and asked Holy Spirit to show me how to write it.

Fast track over the next 3or 4 years, the Lord has been teaching me about demonic strongholds over areas, people groups and the church.  I have been learning in the trenches, literally. Talk about an exciting adventure. I am living the content of my book.

I was driving my bus yesterday and waiting at the high school for the students. I had been praying for my friend with her numerous papers that need writing and I asked the Lord, "What about me? How do I start writing?"

Just like that I got the outline of the book.  I grabbed a pen and scribbled it down as fast as I could on the first piece of paper I could find.

Within 2 minutes I had the whole outline with key points broken down into bite size pieces.  I could hardly believe it!  You've got to understand, I never considered myself a writer.  I am an engineer and I have always loved math and sciences.  I think I got a C+ in grade 12 English.

I started a blog in obedience to the Lord... under much protest I must admit. Holy Spirit has helped me learn how to gather my thoughts and write them down in a readable format and I give him all the Glory for it.

If you had asked me a week ago about this I would have shrugged my shoulders and maybe said, "One day."

I'm here to tell you, expect the unexpected!  What He has done for me He will do for you.  God is no respecter of persons. (Acts 10:34)

"I declare that you are blessed and highly favored and that you do perceive the plans and purposes that God has ordained for your life. Also, you now walk in a new ability to discern what to do, to move ahead in your destiny. In Jesus' name, Amen!"

Waiting Patiently, Muddy and All

 1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
   out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.

Many will see and fear the LORD
and put their trust in him.
(Psalm 40:1-3 italics mine)

I love this Psalm because it is so encouraging.  The author has been in a slimy pit, in the mud and mire. Have you ever been in a slimy pit?  Maybe not a physical one, but how about a situation where no matter what you say people misunderstand you?  That's no fun for sure.

How about finding yourself in some mud or mire?    Maybe not physically but how about the gossip that people throw at you?  All the innuendos,  the slurs and slams behind your back.  It hurts and it sticks to you just like mud.

Have you ever been mired in a messy situation? You might not have done anything wrong except be in the wrong place at the wrong time.  These situations can weigh heavily on your mind and steal your peace, your joy and even your sleep.

This Psalm promises that if we will wait on the Lord, He will lift us out of the mire and put us on the rock.  That means so much to me because God does not change and He has exalted His word above all things. (Mal. 3:6, Ps. 138:2) He will lift us out of the mud and the mire (verse 2).

If we will wait on the Lord, muddy or not, He will make it right.  And while we are waiting, let's go after the  spirit of leviathan that causes people to misunderstand us and jump to wrong conclusions. Let's claim, clear, open communication without hidden agendas, in all our relationships and Let's ask for a great guard on our mouths and our lips.

Let's declare some good words: "Thank You Lord that Your words of love, grace, mercy and power flow through us all the time. Thank You Lord for camaraderie and mutual respect in all our relationships. Show us how to ask clarifying questions where there is opportunity for offense. Teach us to extend grace to all the people we meet.  Amen."

Verse three does come to pass.  He has put a New Song in my mouth every time I was in mud, mire or a pit.  He is faithful!  What He's done for me He will do for you! Hallelujah!

Finding Time

My theme today is finding time for the Lord.  I don't know where all the time went.  I'm still getting used to my new job and trying to fit everything in.

That's the deal when you work part time I find.  You aren't working full time so you still try to fit in all the pursuits you would normally do if you were home full time.  I am realizing that it doesn't work that way.

So,  I am not going to do any hobbies this evening because I haven't spent anytime seeking the Lord.  First things first.  Nothing earth shattering is going to happen if I play around with some paint or do some extra baking or knitting, but God promises to work on our concerns and dreams while we wait on Him. Isaiah 64:4-5  states,

"4 Since ancient times no one has heard,
   no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides you,
who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.
5 You come to the help of those who gladly do right,
who remember your ways. (italics mine)

Holy Spirit has been encouraging me to not give up. He's saying that it doesn't matter that I've been waiting 20+ years for a promise to come to pass.

As a confirmation, this song from the Lord keeps coming back to my remembrance.  It goes like this:

"Hang on my dear, hang on my love, I'm coming real soon now.
Hang on my dear, keep praising me,  'cause I'm coming real soon now."

On that note, I am going to find a quiet spot in the house and spend some time asking the Lord what song I can sing to Him and see where He leads me. It's an adventure every time.

If you want more of Him then agree with me that "We have wisdom to know what to lay down, what to give away and what to pursue in our lives. Amen!"

"The LORD is exalted, for he dwells on high;
he will fill Zion (us) with his justice and righteousness.
He will be the sure foundation for your times,
   a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge;
the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure." (Is. 33:5-6, brackets mine)

I declare that you are blessed  and Highly favored by the Greatest king of all... Jesus.

I'm So Thankful...

The song says it all. I ask the Lord from time to time to give me a thankful heart because that's who He likes to hang out with-- the thankful ones.  Yes, he is with us all the time, but there are different levels of intimacy we can enjoy. I want to be as close as I can possibly get, maybe even the best of friends with Holy Spirit.  I need him to show me things and teach me things.  Thank God, he is such a good teacher. LOL!

Let me pray for you now: "I bless you with more of Holy Spirit.  May you know him in a greater way today. Amen." The Apostle Paul wrote, "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better," (Eph. 1: 17).  Double Amen to that!

Daily Prayer Covering

Good morning Saints.   This is the best prayer covering I have found thus far on the internet.
I love this ministry so I am going to post it here with all the links.   They have a real Father's heart to see the flock raised up and functioning in full authority.

DAILY PRAYER COVERING

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray this prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit.

In the Name of Jesus Christ I bind, rebuke and bring to no effect: all division, discord, disunity,
strife, anger, wrath, murder, criticism, condemnation, pride, envy, jealousy, gossip, slander, evil
speaking, complaining, lying, false teaching, false gifts, false manifestations, lying signs and
wonders, poverty, fear of lack, fear spirits, murmuring spirits, complaining spirits, hindering
spirits, retaliatory spirits, deceiving spirits, religious spirits, occult spirits, witchcraft spirits
(including Jezebel, Delilah, Apollyon, and Absalom), and spirits of Antichrist.

I cover myself with the Blood of Jesus.  I bind all curses that have been spoken against me.  I
bless those who curse me, and pray blessings on those who despitefully use me.  I bind all
spoken judgments made against me and judgments I have made against others.  I bind the power
of negative words from others, and I bind and render useless all prayers not inspired by the Holy
Spirit; whether psychic, soul force, witchcraft or counterfeit tongues that have been prayed
against me.  In the Name of Jesus I bind up all ungodly power from every source.

I use the Name of Jesus as your weapon of war to break down, undamn, and blow up the walls of protection around all witches, warlocks, wizards, American Indian Shamans and witch doctors, voodoo witchdoctors, and satanists, and I break the power of all curses, hexes, vexes, spells, charms,
fetishes, psychic prayers, psychic thoughts, all witchcraft, sorcery, magic, voodoo, all mind
control, jinxes, potions, bewitchments, death, destruction, sickness, pain, torment, physic power,
psychic warfare, prayer chains, incense and candle burning, and everything else being sent
against me or members of my family.

I use the Name of Jesus to cut their silver cords.  I ask you God, to send angels to carry all of these demons and their associated and connected family of curses, and assignments away with confusion to the place You want them to go.

I am God's child.  I resist the devil.  No weapon formed against me shall prosper.  I put on the
whole armor of God.  I take authority over this day, in Jesus Name.  Let it be prosperous for me
and let me walk in your love.  The Holy Spirit leads and guides me today.  I discern between the
righteous and the wicked.  I take authority over Satan, all his demons, and all people influenced by
them.  I declare Satan is under my feet and he shall remain there all day.

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  I am God's property.  Satan you are bound from
my family, my mind, my body, my home, and my finances.  I confess that I am healed and whole.  I
flourish, am long lived, stable, durable, incorruptible, fruitful, virtuous, full of peace, patience and
love.  Whatsoever I set my hands to do shall prosper, for God supplies all my needs.  I have all
authority over Satan, all demons, and beasts of the field.

God, I pray for the ministry you have for me.  Anoint me for all you have called me to do for you.  I
call forth divine appointments, open doors of opportunity, God ordained encounters and ministry
positions.  I claim a hedge of protection around myself, spouse and children (name) throughout
this day and night.

I ask you God, in the name of Jesus, to dispatch angels to surround me, my spouse and children today and to put them throughout my house and around our property, souls and bodies.  I ask angels to protect my house from any intrusion and to protect me and my family from any harmful demonic, physical or mental attacks.  I ask this prayer in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Now that's covering all the bases, don't you think?  I really like this prayer covering and try to declare it over myself every day.

Here is a simple song that I got from the Lord to help remind me to speak good things over myself and others. Enjoy!

Let's declare, "We are blessed and highly favored by the greatest king of all, JESUS!  Amen!"

Painting!

Remember how I wanted to learn how to paint?  Well my girlfriend came over yesterday to teach Tricia how to paint and I joined in. We did some expressive art. No photo references are allowed in this type of art. You just paint what is inside of you.  I found it very hard because I am so analytical.

This is Patricia's piece.  I couldn't figure out what she was doing until the end.  She wasn't even trying to paint anything.  She was just having fun with the paint and the brushes.  At the end I saw so much passion and movement in her art.  It really came together. I love how the painting moves from left to right and how the color overlaps and swirls together.

Tricia's piece
Tricia has never done this type of art either so she wasn't sure how to begin.  I like the use of colors around her page. There is a lot of different parts to focus on.  The wheat looks like a face from a different angle.
My piece
I love the watercolor washes and the interesting patterns you can create.  I love how they suggest things.  I didn't think the painting was done but Patricia said to leave it unless I got a revelation.  Expressive art doesn't have to make sense.  That is a tough one for me as I like my world to make sense.

I am happy we started. Patricia was surprised to see the softness come out in my painting. I didn't know it was there either. LOL.

I am looking forward to painting again some day.  A dream is made one step at a time and now I have taken another step!

Let's pray: "Lord show us how to go after our dreams. Help us to make time to hear Your voice and set aside all that is a distraction to go after our heart's desire.  I thank You that You promised to give us our heart's desire as we pursue You. Amen!"

"Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart (Psalm 37:4)"

Reasonable Goals...

My goal this year is to pursue reasonable goals. Big dreams that I have broken down into baby steps that even I can attempt.  I can visualize them like a hopscotch game on the side walk and the game is ready for me to start anytime. That sounds much better than New Year's resolutions that never get kept.

I want more divine appointments this year, so I have to practice slowing down in the grocery store  etc., to see if the Lord is highlighting anyone for me to minister too.

Better yet, I am going to work on my confessions so that I start to believe His word more.  I won't make time for  God when I am not convinced there's something worthwhile in it.

I mean seriously,  we all want more of God, so why don't we make time to get quiet and hear His voice?  Our truthful answers to this question will help us learn where we need to renew our minds.

Conversely, if I make time for Him, I will be full of Holy Spirit and His love, anointing and wisdom will flow through me. This always results in many testimonies and supernatural encounters.  Apart from Him you can do nothing (ref. John 15:5).

It's time for some soul searching.  Regarding goals-- there is no point going after something that God is not supporting because it will just become another distraction.  Heaven knows we do not need more distractions!

Let's pray: "Lord help us to ask You the hard questions about why we don't do, what we know we should do.  Help us to get real with You and show us how to renew our minds. We determine to make time for You, Lord, so that Your love and anointing will flow through us.  Thank You for giving us many testimonies. In Jesus' mighty name we ask. Amen."

January 1, 2011

The weather is so balmy today I am thinking about my spring bulbs.  Isn't that a pretty picture I grabbed from Photo Bucket?  A little bit out of season, but hey! All the ice is gone outside. LOL.

Well, here we go again.  It's another New Year and everybody is making New Year's resolutions. I would love to learn how to paint, but at my age it would take so long before I became good, that I might just as well wait till I get to Heaven. Then time will not be a problem.

On that note, I put the painting book away and asked the Lord what I should focus on this year.  I have musical talents that some painters would probably love to have and I should make good use of them.

What are you going to work on, or attempt to do?  I love to to try something new. Is there a dream you have always had but never had the opportunity to pursue?

What I do know is that every journey begins with one step. Here's to taking the first step of many this year towards our dreams!

"Thank You Lord for helping us to pursue the dreams You've given us.  Show us what steps we can take that will propel us in the right direction.  Connect us with people who will empower us  not discourage us. In Jesus' name we ask. Amen!"
